Will there be any incision on my face?
Not in standard endoscopic sinus surgery. The procedure is performed entirely through the nostrils with no visible external scar.
Will I feel pain during the operation?
No. You are completely asleep under general anesthesia. Mild temporary pressure or discomfort afterward is managed with medication.
Can I fly back home 3 days after surgery?
In suitable, uncomplicated cases and following the post-operative endoscopic check-up, flying around Day 3 is often possible.
Is nasal packing used after surgery?
Traditional painful nasal packing is not routinely required. Dissolvable gels or soft silicone supports are used when needed.
Will my sense of smell improve after surgery?
If smell loss is caused by nasal polyps or mucosal blockage, surgery combined with medical therapy often brings significant improvement.
Does sinus surgery change the external shape of my nose?
Standard endoscopic sinus surgery focuses on internal sinus drainage pathways and does not alter external nasal aesthetics.
